The long anticipated construction activities for the N. Winter Park Drive Project – PHASE II have started. On February 14, 2011, the City entered into a contractual agreement with CFE, (a transportation general contractor), who submitted the lowest responsive bid for the project. CFE’s construction costs for the project are $2,250,749.97. PHASE II consists of two major segments: (1) the complete reconstruction of N. Winter Park Drive from the Seminola Boulevard intersection northward to Seventh Street, and (2) milling and resurfacing of Winter Park Drive from the Seminola Boulevard intersection southward to Red Bug Lake Road. The project duration is estimated to be 415 days, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2012.

Funding for the project is provided by: (1) Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds, (2) Florida Department of Transportation funds, and (3) City of Casselberry utility water and sewer funds.

A Notice-to-Proceed was issued to CFE on April 4, 2011.
