[ARCHIVED] New Prescription Drug Drop-Off Program Initiated

The Casselberry Police Department will initiate an amnesty drop-off program. Community members may drop off unwanted medication the first Wednesday of every month between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm at the Casselberry Police Department, located at 4195 South U.S. Highway 17-72. The medication may be turned in anonymously as no identification will be required. Please note, this collection program is not intended for the use of physicians or other business entities who already have established procedures and existing resources for the disposal of unwanted or expired pharmaceuticals.

Medications may be in standard containers or in plastic bags. Liquid medication must be enclosed in a secure container and placed in a plastic bag. Syringes will not be accepted as this will create a hazardous situation for our evidence personnel.

For more information contact Sgt. William Nas at 407-262-7616 ext. 1054.
