Come and enjoy the spectacular Sunset Jazz and Art Fest this Saturday, Sep. 25 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Enjoy the sounds of smooth jazz from legendary saxophonists Paul Taylor and Michael Lington! Be sure to arrive early to hear the local great singer/songwriter, Matt Shenk.
During the concert, visit Casselberry City Hall, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. to view the “Experience Contemporary” art exhibit featuring a wide variety of works from some of the most talented contemporary artists from Central Florida.
Also from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., the Casselberry Art House will showcase the Sanford Seminole Art Association’s Annual Exhibit. Mingle with the artists and their works that span a wide variety of mediums and substrates.
The new Sculpture House will be open for tours from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. and is located a few steps away at 120 Quail Pond Circle. The Florida Sculptors Guild has created a tactile art exhibit titled “reVision.” This unique opportunity encourages all participants to “touch” the art.
From 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., guest sculptor Marla E will host a free creative demo workshop for all ages. Participants will design their own bright colored spirals similar to the large “Totems” by Dorothy Gillespie. Located near the fountain in Lake Concord Park, these large scale works of art were originally on display at the Rockefeller Center in New York City.
Bring blankets, chairs and lots of friends and enjoy a whole evening of great jazz and art.
