Tribute to the Masters: Gone but Not Forgotten

Exhibit Dates: March - July

As detailed in the March issue of Orlando Arts, the 7th Annual Experience Contemporary Exhibit is a multi-faceted and complex examination of present-day life. There is no single point of view or common style. The artists use a wide array of media and materials to express concepts, themes, or ideas that reflect their own culture, identity, memory, society, and points of view. The annual exhibit regularly attracts the cream of Central Florida’s artist crop, with artists from the top art groups and studios in the region, from Florida Artists Group and Florida Sculptors Guild, to McRae Studios and others. Local sculptural extraordinaire, Richard Munster, brings his organic masterpieces to Casselberry for the first time in years, while McRae Studios sculptor, Todd K. Fox, returns with pieces that evoke strong emotion through ethereal entities that present allegorical inclusions. Florida Sculptors Guild’s Cheryl Bogdanowitsch brings her otherworldly wooden sculptures, which show why she’s one of the most original local artists working today.

The exhibit will be up from March to July, and once City Hall is again open to the public, curated tours of the exhibit can be scheduled Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., by Emailing the Art House or calling (407) 262-7700 Ext. 1122.
