Kayak Rentals
Casselberry Recreation Center, located at 200 N. Triplet Lake Drive, has a kayak/canoe rental concession. They are conveniently located at the boat the Secret Lake Park boat launch - east of the parking lot area. All residents must provide proof of residency in the form of a drivers license or a utility bill with a current address.
Resident Cost
Single Person Kayak/Canoe
- $5 per hour (resident)
- $15 for 1/2 day (resident)
Non-Resident Cost
Single Person Kayak/Canoe
- $10 per hour (non-resident)
- $25 for 1/2 day (non-resident)
Tandem Kayak/Canoe
- $10 per hour (resident)
- $30 1/2 day (non-resident)
Kayak/canoe rentals are available at the center Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For weekend rentals, kayaks/canoes must be rented by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. For more information, please call 407-262-7700 Ext. 1575 or 1576 or email the Recreation Division.
How to Rent a Kayak or Canoe
- Reservations may be made in person at the Casselberry Recreation Center located at 200 N. Triplet Lake Drive between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday or you can reserve online at the Recreation Registration site.
- Kayak/canoe may be rented for hours 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. For all weekend rental reservations, you must reserve your kayak/canoe by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
- Reservations are completed on a first come first served basis. All reservations are made upon completion of registration, reviewing signing rules & regulations, submission of deposit fee and payment.
- Fee may be paid in cash or by check payable to the "City of Casselberry" if rental is made onsite at the Casselberry Recreation Center. To register on line, visit the Recreation Registration site.
- No verbal agreements for use of kayak or canoe equipment shall be made, nor in any way binding.
- In addition to the Kayak and canoe rental, all reservations also require the signing of a hold harmless agreement by the reserving party.
- Kayak and canoe pickup and drop-off will be at the designated Secret Lake boat launch area only.
Kayak/Canoe Safety Rules:
- City requires that all children under the age of 18 be accompanied by an adult.
- At least one person in a tandem kayak or canoe must be 18 years of age.
- Maximum capacity of a tandem kayak or canoe is 2. Two Adults (18 and up) or one adult and one child over 6 years old is permitted per tandem kayak or canoe.
- No children under 6 years of age are permitted to be in the vessel.
- All participants must wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) at all times.
- It is highly recommended that participants bring a cell phone with them in case of an emergency. Please secure phone, keys and other electronic equipment in a waterproof container that floats.
Prohibited Activities
- Feeding or provoking wildlife
- Trespassing on private property
- Littering
- Swimming
- Intentional capsizing or swamping
- Removing equipment from Secret Lake Park
- Bringing alcoholic beverages
