Residential Parking Overview
Each residential property owner is required to designate a specific location for parking personal use vehicles (cars, SUVs, vans, small trucks, pick-up trucks) in residential neighborhoods. The City Code requires personal use vehicles to be parked in a "driveway or permanent designated area attached to the driveway," also known as a Designated Parking Area (DPA).
Requirements
All personal use vehicles shall be parked in a garage, carport, driveway, or Designated Parking Area. Unlicensed and/or inoperable vehicles shall be parked in a garage or removed from the property.
Large vehicles, business related vehicles, or recreational vehicles (motor homes, watercraft, or trailers) must be parked in the side or rear yard and be screened with either a fence, wall, or landscape material.
