Volunteer Opportunities

Art Advisory Board

The principle function of the Art Advisory Board is to advise the City of Casselberry Recreation Division on all major decisions affecting the administration of art programs and cultural activities.

Computer Classes

Volunteers must have knowledge of one of the following computer programs: word processing, spreadsheet, educational software including games and reference programs, as well as internet knowledge. Volunteers are needed between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Recreation Center.

Friends of the Park

Casselberry Recreation Friends of the Park is a resident volunteer organization that is involved in community tree plantings, park clean-ups, and other special park projects. These volunteers are, without a doubt, Very Important People! They donate numerous hours of service and talent to help preserve and protect our natural resources.

Senior Programs

The Recreation Division provides services for seniors at the Recreation Center located in Secret Lake Park. Examples of senior programs include ceramics, dancing, physical fitness, painting, and music. Most classes run Monday through Friday in the mornings and afternoons. There is a lifetime of knowledge to be gained from working with seniors.

Special Events Advisory Council

The principle function of the Special Events Advisory Council is to advise the City of Casselberry Recreation Division on all major decisions affecting the administration of special events. It consists of five members: a Casselberry resident, a member of the Casselberry business community, a representative of homeowner associations, a representative of Casselberry schools and a member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

Special Events

The Recreation Division runs several special events throughout the year, such as the Rock 'n' Run 5K, Jazz, 50's & 60's, Country Concerts and more! Volunteers are needed to assist in a variety of ways.
