Entertaining comparisons to “a bit Fleetwood Mac and a little Laurel Canyon”, Forlorn Strangers are comprised of five unique songwriters whose individual songwriting and performance styles that include b lues, bluegrass, folk, rock and pop songs. Their inspiration comes from The Band, Fleetwood Mac, and Crosby, Stills & Nash. One of their latest videos is featured on the RollingStone website at http://www.rollingstone.com/country/news/see-forlorn-strangers-artful-video-for-on-the-ground-w458015 .
Opening for Forlorn Strangers is The Novel Ideas, a country folk quintet from Massachusetts. Featuring the voices of three different songwriters, this group blends pastoral, harmony driven and plaintive Americana sounds. They tour nationally and write and record as a band. Their latest release, St. Paul Sessions, was recorded live in an old church in their hometown.
Along with the music, there will be a variety of unique food truck, artisans and locally produced product vendors.
